Eyebrow Microblading

What is microblading?

Microblading, also known as Eyebrow Embroidery, is a semi-permanent procedure that falls under the category of permanent makeup. Unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, microblading is less invasive and lasts approximately 1-3 years, depending on your skin type and skincare routine. It’s the ideal solution for clients who desire well-defined and fuller eyebrows, especially for those who have experienced eyebrow loss or over-tweezing.

During the procedure, our skilled technician uses a specialized hand tool with ultra-fine needles to create precise, hair-like strokes on the skin. This meticulous technique results in natural and realistic-looking eyebrows. Each client receives a customized pigment that matches their hair color, ensuring a seamless and authentic appearance.

Is it painful?

Contrary to popular belief, microblading is far less painful than traditional tattooing. We utilize a high-quality numbing cream to minimize any discomfort. Most clients report feeling nothing more than a scratching sensation. Individuals with sensitive skin may experience a slightly stronger sensation. After the procedure, expect some redness and mild swelling in the treated area, which is normal and similar to a sunburn.

How Long Does it Take?

The initial microblading session typically lasts between 2½ to 3 hours. During this time, our technician carefully measures, shapes, and styles your eyebrows to create the perfect look for you. We then proceed with the color selection process, choosing a suitable shade that complements your natural features. Once you are satisfied with the design and color, the microblading procedure begins.

Follow-up appointments are necessary, with the second session scheduled 4-6 weeks after the initial session. This session is shorter, lasting approximately 1½ to 2 hours.

How Will I Heal?

Immediately after the session, you may experience slight redness, and the pigmentation color will appear darker than the final results. This is a normal part of the healing process. Over time, the color will fade by up to 50% as your skin heals. It’s important not to pick or remove scabs during the healing process, as this could damage the skin or affect the outcome of the microblading treatment. Scabbing or flaking may occur for up to 7 days. The pigmentation color will continue to lighten, and the final color will appear after 30 days.

What Happens During the Touch-up Session?

The touch-up session takes place 4-6 weeks after the initial session. During this appointment, we may add pigment color and adjust the thickness of the strokes as needed. Clients with oily skin often require a deeper shade, as the oil in the skin tends to lighten the pigment. It’s important to schedule the touch-up session after 4 weeks to allow the pigment color to fully settle and to prevent any potential scar damage.

How Long Does it Last?

The duration of microblading results varies depending on individual factors such as skin type, age, and skincare routine. Clients who tan frequently or use products with AHA or glycolic acid may experience faster fading as their skin resurfaces more quickly. We recommend refreshing the treatment every 12 to 18 months to maintain optimal results. Although the pigment is not as deep as traditional tattoos, it will gradually fade over time, resulting in a subtle shadow. Most clients find that the pigment lasts between 1 to 3 years.
